Our Story — Over 40 Years of Heart Care in Gwinnett County
Cardiovascular Group was founded in 1982 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, with a simple but powerful commitment: to bring exceptional, personalized cardiac care to the people of Gwinnett County. What began as a single cardiology practice has grown over four decades into one of Georgia’s most trusted heart care and cardiology groups, now spanning 11 locations across Gwinnett, Hall, Fulton, and Walton counties, and serving patients from across the Atlanta metro and North Georgia region.
For more than 40 years, CVG has grown alongside the communities we serve. As Gwinnett County has become one of Georgia’s most vibrant and diverse regions, so too has our team expanded, adding board-certified cardiologists, subspecialty physicians, and advanced practice providers to meet the evolving cardiac care needs of our neighbors across Lawrenceville, Buford, Duluth, Johns Creek, Suwanee, and beyond.
In 2021, Cardiovascular Group formalized a Practice Services Agreement with Northside Hospital, one of the most respected health systems in the Southeast. This partnership strengthened CVG’s ability to deliver hospital-caliber cardiovascular care in an accessible, community-based outpatient setting, without changing the day-to-day patient experience that our Gwinnett County community has trusted for decades.
Today, CVG’s physician team includes cardiologists with subspecialty expertise in interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart disease, cardio-oncology, and cardio-obstetrics.
